Dorothy Potter,85, of Jellico, TN, passed away Friday, May 3, at her home.
She was born September 14, 1927 in Pruden,Tn, the daughter of the late Marshall and Myrtle Hensley Ruffner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Alva Potter Sr.; 2 Sons: Charles Potter, and Alva Potter Jr.; 1 Nephew: Marshall Ruffner; 2 Brothers: Jack Ruffner and Carl Ruffner; 2 Sisters: Irene Williams and Ruth Thompson.
She is survived by the following members of her family: 1 Sister: Peggy Pemberton of Port Richie, Florida; 4 Grandchildren: Stephen and Debbie Potter of Middlesboro, Brian and Chasity Potter of Williamsburg, Ashley and Aaron Taylor of Williamsburg, Jared Potter of Jellico, and Amber Barton of Jellico; 8 Great Grandchildren: Carrie Potter, Tyler Potter, Faith Potter, Makayla Partin, Trae Potter, Bryson Potter, Chaseton Potter, and Aaden Taylor; 2 Daughter in laws: Phyllis Potter and Rhonda Wilson.
Funeral Services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday May 6, 2013, at the Creech Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ellis Hoskins, and Rev. Mike Sutton Presiding.
Interment will follow at The Green Hills Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 7.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Potter, Brian Potter, Jared Potter, Tyler Potter, Trae Potter, Bryson Potter, Chaseton Potter, and Aaden Taylor.
