Anita Young Taylor, 60, died peacefully on May 4, 2013 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

She was a lifelong resident of Ewing, Virginia and was employed by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers for 18 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wheeler Young; her mother, Anna Mae Young; and sisters, Lois Browning and Johnna Young.

Surviving are: Her husband of 42 years: John R. Taylor of Ewing, Virginia; Son: Kenneth Taylor and wife, Jennifer of Wake Forest, North Carolina; Her two precious grandchildren: Benjamin and Abigail Taylor; Siblings: Fred Young, Bill Young, Dennis Young, and Judy Young.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Rose Hill, Virginia.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jim Blevins officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Lee Memorial Gardens Park-West in Rose Hill, Virginia.
