Clara Marie Hobbs Hensley, 88, passed away Sunday June 9, 2013, at her home.
She was born January 5, 1925 in Knox County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Tip and Pansy Hobbs. She was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church Calvin, Ky.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Hensley and two sisters Juanita Mills and Bonnie Hurtle.
Survivors include two sons: Danny (Anny) Edwards of Tampa, Fl., and Thomas (Pamela) Hensley of Calvin, Ky.; six daughters: Lela (Jim) Zacherl of Flowery Branch, Ga., Bonnie (Harold) Taylor of Straight Creek, Ky., Brenda (Sam) Miracle of Calvin, Ky., Teresa (Jamie) Wombles of Williamsburg, Ky., Alesa Branham of Williamsburg, Ky., and Michelle (John) Ledger of Calvin, Ky.; grandchildren: Randy Owens of Sugar Hill, Ga., Bryon (Staci) Owens of Cumming, Ga., Thomas (Tracy) Hensley of Calvin, Ky., Shannon (Josh) Shepherd of Harrogate, Tn., Jennifer Edwards, Kene Edwards, and Alexandria Edwards of Tampa, Fl., Chesney (Joseph) Middleton of Milford, Ohio, Todd (Savannah) Miracle of Berea, Ky., Janie Taylor of Lawrenceville, Ga., Stacy (Donnie) Carmack of Williamsburg, Ky., Randy (Sybil) Moses of Williamsburg, Ky., Michael Branham of Williamsburg, Ky., Brandy (Jeff) Howard of Louisville, Ky.; brother: Ralph (Octavia) Hobbs of Coldsprings, Ky.; sisters: Mayo Gray of Prestonsburg, Ky., Carol Heironomous of Mckee, Ky., and Joan Carmack of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; and a loving host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends John Ledger, Allen Sanders, and Todd Miracle presiding. Music will be provided by Savannah Miracle and Joseph Middleton. Interment will be in the Hensley Family Cemetery Calvin, Ky., Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are her church family of Riverview Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Creech Funeral Home Middlesboro, Ky..
