Spring rains can make for hazardous road conditions throughout the Tri-State. If you find yourself being a victim of an automobile accident, Cumberland Collision can make your car right as rain again.
Cumberland Collision owner Ernie Helton’s collision experience comes from previous work with Helton’s Body Shop in Middlesboro. He moved the business to its current location in Ewing, Va., in 1997.
The business has undergone multiple expansions and remodels, including adding onto the mechanical facility in 2011 and more recently an update to the office space.
The business offers work on all major collision incidents, but does not do major upholstery work or towing.
The 10 employees of Cumberland Collision include several family members, allowing owner Ernie Helton to stay close to relatives as well as focus his business on the successes.
“I think it’s mostly got to do with faith. We’re a faith based family and God provides,” said Helton.
Helton attributes the businesses successes to his family’s devout religious beliefs as well as the trust and devotion of repeat customers that have followed him throughout the years.
“This seems like some of the most desperate times around here and we’re very thankful where we are,” said Helton.
Cumberland Collision is in the process of opening another location as a franchise in Pennington Gap, Va. Helton hopes to have the second location open this summer.
Cumberland Collision is located at 171 Jehovah Drive in Ewing. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and can be reached at 276-861-2710.
