Scenes from the Read Across America event at Middlesboro Mall on Saturday are shown here. The Dr. Seuss birthday and reading celebration brought various characters to the costume contest and parade. Thing 1 and Thing 2 were the most popular characters, showing up in all three age divisions of the contest.
