BIG STONE GAP, Va. — The Artisans Committee of the 2017 “Gathering in the Gap” Music Festival invites regional artisans to create, display and sell their works at the annual festival on May 27. Artisans will be selected for high quality and outstanding work for the mutual benefit of all participants.

The festival, featuring Steep Canyon Rangers and Dave Eggar, is located in and around the historic grounds of the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, and vendor space is limited.

All items for sale must fit such themes as country, primitive, rustic, shabby chic, vintage and traditional & contemporary folk art. Items should include mediums such as textiles, handcrafted furniture, metalworking, artwork, original art, pottery, gourmet foods, basket making, instrument making, stained glass, jewelry making, soap making, etc. Artisans agree to sell complete, finished and ready to use products. No unfinished wood kits or patterns, silk flowers or general items made from craft kits will be considered.

Additionally, antique vendors and dealers are invited to display and sell their wares at the event. Items from all historical periods are encouraged.
