BIG STONE GAP, Va. — The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park continues its Artisan Series of programs with the July theme of “Hiking Sticks,” hosted by Michael Lambert.
The workshop will be held from 6-8 p.m. on July 20 in the museum’s Victorian Parlor.
Participants in the Artisan Series workshop will learn some basics about making and decorating their own hiking stick, and each person will create a hiking stick to take home.
The fee for “Hiking Sticks” is $15 per person. All supplies and materials are included in the workshop fee.
The registration and payment deadline for “Hiking Sticks” is July 17 by 4 p.m. Spaces are limited.

The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park’s Artisan Series will offer a craft project on the third Monday of every month from March through December, providing visitors with opportunities to create handmade crafts with regional artisans.
