Mary's Home Furnishings | Furniture Stores

Locally owned and operated, Mary's Home Furnishings, Inc. was founded in 1984 by Mary Bowen.  Mary believed in offering customers a quality product at a low price.  In the late 1980s as the business continued to grow and prosper, the need for more space became evident.  The store was relocated to its present location where over an acre of furniture is on display.  Then in the mid-90's, as a further tribute to Mary, a second store was opened in Maynardville to service the Union County market.

 On May 27, 2004, we lost our beloved Mary to terminal illness.  Hershel Bowen, Mary's husband, took over the operations.  Along with their son David, they have continued the tradition  of fair and honest business practices set forth by Mary.  In addition, they have continued and are committed to keeping the superb business relations that Mary built.

Mary's nieces, Janice England, manager of the New Tazewell location, and Judy Collins, manager of the Maynardville store have been long time employees of the company showing that Mary's truly is a "family owned and operated business".

Mary Lou Grizzell (Hershel's sister) and Darrell Beason are also long time employees that work both locations and are eager to serve you in acquiring the furniture you desire.
