Livesay Family Medicine, P.C.
As a young boy growing up in the mountains of southwestern Virginia, I had a dream of one day becoming a doctor. As I grew older, I realized that physicians have responsibilities that include serious life-and-death decisions, so I tried to take other pathways to professional fulfillment. I earned a B.A. from Maryville College with majors in both Business Administration and Fine Arts, and later, an M.B.A. from Virginia Tech. I spent several years teaching and several more years in the corporate world. However, the yearning to become a physician finally overpowered me, so I earnestly set out to become the “country doctor” that I had always wanted to become. I moved back home to East Tennessee (When you’re from Southwest Virginia, East Tennessee is home, too.) and attending medical school at ETSU’s Quillen College of Medicine. I have a wife, three beautiful daughters, and am now honored to be practicing medicine in Claiborne County. I am a Christian, and I enjoy good food, travel, Googie architecture, and Biblical archaeology.
