The Kentucky State Police said they arrested a woman Sunday after she wrecked her vehicle causing the passenger to sustain injures.
On June 7 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Kentucky State Police Trooper Josh Messer investigated a single-vehicle injury motor vehicle collision on KY 3486 in Middlesboro.
Madeleine Elizabeth Greene,18, was operating a 2012 Ford Fusion when she lost control and hit embankment. Passenger Katie Collins, 18, was injured in the collision and airlifted by Air Evac to University of Tennessee Medical Center, in Knoxville, Tenn.
Police said Greene was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and given standard field sobriety test. She was arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, first-degree assault and failure to produce an insurance card.
Troopers Don Perry and George Howard along with Middlesboro EMS assisted at the scene.
