Trafficking indictments returned

A Pineville man was recently indicted by the Bell County Grand Jury.

Crit Callebs, 60, was charged with first- and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first- and second- and third-degree trafficking a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and convicted felon in possession of a handgun.

According to the true bill, on or about July 15, 2014, in Bell County, Kentucky, Callebs knowingly and unlawfully trafficked in oxycodone, a schedule II narcotic, and hydrocodone, a schedule III narcotic. The true bill further states that on or about Sept. 10, 2014, in Bell County, Kentucky, Callebs knowingly and unlawfully trafficked in more than 10 dosage units of oxycodone, a schedule II narcotic, and hydrocodone, a schedule III narcotic; on Jan. 6, 2015, in Bell County, Kentucky, Callebs knowingly and unlawfully trafficked in oxycodone, a schedule II narcotic; and on January 12, 2015, in Bell County, Kentucky, Callebs knowingly and unlawfully trafficked in hydrocodone, a schedule III narcotic, while in the possession of a firearm, knowingly and unlawfully trafficked in buprenophine, a schedule III narcotic, while in the possession of a firearm, knowingly and unlawfully trafficked in alprazolam, a schedule IV narcotic, while in the possession of a firearm, had in his possession two counterfeit twenty dollar bills and was in the possession of a .38 Special Revolver handgun after being previously convicted of a felony.

Others indicted on trafficking charges include:

*Jason D. Messer, 31, of Middlesboro, second- and third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana and drug paraphernalia;

*George Robert Frazier, 61, of Pineville, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance;

*Terry Miracle, 52, of McKee, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance;

*Travis A. Burchett, 24, of Middlesboro, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance;

*Brandon Jeffery Partin, 31, of Harrogate, Tennessee, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

All of the cases are set for Aug. 31.
