Lee County drug roundup

Officers with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office along with members of the Pennington Gap Police Department, Jonesville Police Department and the Southwest Virginia Drug Task Force conducted a drug roundup on Friday.

Lee County Sheriff Gary Parsons reports that 40 individuals have been charged on 91 drug counts. The charges stem from a cooperative effort with his office and the office of Commonwealth Attorney Stacy Munsey.

According to Parsons, the investigation has been going on since February and most of the charges involved controlled hand to hand drug buys.

As of Friday evening, 25 people have been arrested. More arrests are expected to be made in the coming days.

Those arrested include:

*Jeremy Langford, 23, Jonesville, Virginia, two counts of selling schedule I/II;

*Nancy Kay Hartsock, 36, of Jonesville, Virginia, one count distribute and one count conspire;

*Dennis Johnson, 57, Pennington Gap, Virginia, one count distribute schedule I/II;

*Brittany Burke, 25, of Jonesville, Virginia, one count distribute schedule I/II;

*Augustin Macedo, 32, of Rose Hill, Virginia, one count conspire to sell schedule I/II, two counts child abuse and one count conspire to sell schedule I/II;

*Vanessa Figueroa, 23, of Rose Hill, Virginia, two counts child abuse, one count sell schedule I/II and one count conspire to sell schedule I/II;

*Jonathan Russell Cooper, 37, of Pennington Gap, Virginia, one count schedule III;

*Christopher Fee, 49, of Rose Hill, Virginia, one count distribute schedule III;

*Charles Ridings, 46, of Dryden, Virginia, one count possession ammunition of firearm having been a convicted felon;

*Alissa Daran Marsee, 35, of Pennington Gap, Virginia, one count distribute methamphetamine, one count conspire methamphetamine, one count possession of precursors and one count conspire precursors;

*Lora Kay Kelly, 49, of Keokee, Virginia, one count of stolen property;

*William “Boone” Kelly, 44, of Keokee, Virginia, one count distribute schedule II and one count possession of stolen property;

*Donald Wayne Hartsock, St. Charles, Virginia, two counts selling schedule III and two counts selling schedule II;

*Michael Eugene Laws, 59, of Pennington Gap, Virginia, four counts of manufacturing methamphetamine

*Mari Anne Clonce, 32, of Rose Hill, Virginia, one count of selling schedule I/II and one count conspire to sell schedule I/II;

*Molly Jane Bryant, 26, of St. Charles, Virginia, one count distribute schedule I/II, one count conspire schedule I/II and one count child abuse;

*Randall Edgar, 30, 0f St. Charles, Virginia, one count distribute schedule I/II, one count conspire schedule I/II and one count child abuse;

*Jerry Laws, 47, of Pennington Gap, Virginia, one count possession of precursors;

*Tina Ann Miles, 40, of Pennington Gap, Virginia, one count distribute schedule I/II and one count conspire schedule I/II;

*Stephen Sweeney, 22, of Jonesville, Virginia, one count distribute schedule III;

*Joseph Steenkamp, 33, of Dryden, Virginia, one count distribute schedule I/II;

*James Robinson, 33, of Dryden, Virginia, one count manufacturing methamphetamine, three counts of child abuse and one count conspire methamphetamine;

*Marie Robinson, 33, of Dryden, Virginia, one count manufacturing methamphetamine, three counts of child abuse and one count conspire methamphetamine;

*Darren Herman Smith, 48, of Stickleyville, Virginia, two counts distributing of marijuana;

*Paula Sue Cox, 43, of Duffield, Virginia, one count distributing schedule III.
