Main Street Pineville is diligently working to better the small city and recently has announced a plethora of upcoming events.
On Tuesday, the Kentucky League of Cities will be at the Bell Theater to conduct a presentation highlighting the works that have gone into the 2015 revitalization plan. The presentation is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
MSP invites everyone to attend to see how they can help play an important role in the revitalization of downtown Pineville by joining one of the four Main Street committees. The four Main Street committees are organizational, economic development, design and promotions.
At the Bell Theater event, the Kentucky League of Cities will present projects for each committee to begin work on.
Food and drinks will be provided at the event.
Numerous other events have been scheduled in the upcoming weeks and months.
First up is the annual Kidsfest. Kidsfest is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 12 at the Courthouse Square.
Beginning Oct. 10, Main Street Pineville is ‘booking new inmates’ at the annual Haunted Jail event. On the same day Main Street Pineville will be hosting a 5k. Those interested can register now at www.vibe5K.com. Those who register early will save money. Participants are encouraged to dress in their creepiest gear and flood the streets of Pineville on October 10. The entire family is invited and vendors will be setup on the Courthouse Square and an after-party will be held inside the Bell Theater.
A chili cook-off in downtown Pineville will be Nov. 7.
Main Street Pineville has already taken to social media asking for ideas for Christmas in Pineville. Those with ideas can share their thought on Main Street Pineville’s Facebook page.
