RICHMOND, Va. – June is Great Outdoors Month in Virginia, and June 13 is Get Outdoors Day. There’s no better place to enjoy the outdoors than Virginia State Parks, where special programs and activities are offered to mark the occasion.
From the casually curious to the dedicated outdoor enthusiast, Virginia State Parks offer something for everyone. Special activities include night hikes, a large telescope program, a sunset wagon ride and a special guided hike where you’re invited to bring your dog.
