Roundup nets 15 arrests

Beginning around 8 a.m., Kentucky State Police Post 10 conducted a drug roundup on Thursday in Bell and Knox counties. Along with the assistance of Pineville Police Department, Bell County Sheriff’s Department, Barbourville Police Department and Knox County Sheriff’s Department, 14 people were arrested on various drug charges stemming from a year-long investigation by KSP Post 10 drug detectives and one person on a theft charge.

Arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center were:

  • Kathy Hagle, of Harlan, theft by unlawful taking under $500;
  • Melody Wray, of Middlesboro, four counts of first-degree trafficking controlled substance;
  • Charles Wray, of Middlesboro, three counts of first-degree trafficking controlled substance;
  • Paul Wray, of Middlesboro, two counts of first-degree trafficking controlled substance;
  • Sonya Rodgers, of Middlesboro, three counts of first-degree trafficking controlled substance;
  • Frieda Seigler, of Middlesboro, one count of first-degree trafficking controlled substance;
  • Jamey Hopkins, of Middlesboro, one count of first-degree trafficking controlled substance.

Arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center were:

  • Randy Burnett, of Barbourville, one count of first-degree trafficking controlled substance;
  • William Bingham, of Nicholasville, two counts of first-degree trafficking controlled substance and one count of theft by unlawful taking under $500;
  • Brian Bunch, of Barbourville, two counts of first-degree trafficking controlled substance and one count of second-degree trafficking controlled substance;
  • Misty Wombles 23, Barbourville, one count of second-degree trafficking controlled substance;
  • Tamicca Carton 28, Barbourville, one count of second-degree trafficking controlled substance;
  • Marsha Lake 57, Hinkle, second-offense, one count of first-degree trafficking controlled substance, methamphetamine, one count of second-degree trafficking controlled substance and one count of third-degree trafficking controlled substance;
  • Harley Smith 28, Gray, one count of first-degree trafficking controlled substance, methamphetamine;
  • Lee R. Vanover 24, Barbourville, one count of first-degree trafficking controlled substance.

Several other arrests are pending in this investigation.
