The Kentucky State Police has confirmed that Bell County Detention Center escaped inmate Jason Carbone has been captured in Knox County.
It was reported that Carbone allegedly stole a Bell County school bus and traveled to the Flat Lick area. A tip led to his arrest.
Kentucky State Police Post 10, Harlan, said they were contacted by the Bell County Detention Center on Monday evening stating that Carbone walked away from the ball court area of the jail. Trooper Jay Sowders responded to the detention center and determined that Carbone had escaped from the facility. He was being sought for second-degree escape.
Carbone was arrested Friday on burglary charges.
