Renowned bluegrass artists Dale Ann Bradley and Steve Gulley will return from a month of touring overseas to present the acclaimed Cumberland Mountain Music Show April 26, 2014, in the Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Cumberland Gap Convention Center in Cumberland Gap, Tenn.

Featuring the music and heritage of mountain people, the Cumberland Mountain Music Show is a live family-friendly show including gospel, bluegrass and country music and down-home comedy. Besides Bradley and Gulley, the monthly show features mostly local talent with the occasional guest from out of the area. Following the April 26 show, the next three shows will take place at 7:30 p.m. on May 24, June 28 and July 19.

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the door. Season passes will be honored.

Bradley and Gulley developed the Cumberland Mountain Music Show to do something in their own backyards to keep the music and culture of the region alive.

Bradley is a five-time IBMA Female Vocalist of the year, and has released albums both as a solo artist and with the New Coon Creek Girls, and she is known for her distinctive, gentle vocal phrasing and covers of popular (yet non-genre-related) songs by artists such as U2, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, and Stealer’s Wheel. Bradley grew up in southeastern Kentucky and has lived in the bluegrass state for most of her life.

Gulley has experienced success as a solo artist, as a founding member of Mountain Heart and Grasstowne, as an award-winning songwriter and a producer with his own studio, The Curve Studio in Cumberland Gap.

The Cumberland Mountain Music Show is part of ongoing Arts In The Gap programming by LMU which is aimed at bringing a wide range of arts experiences to the region and celebrating Appalachian heritage.
