The country music group Sundy Best will perform live at Angelo’s in the Gap on Thursday.
Doors will open at 8 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge. The restaurant is located at 527 Colwyn Avenue in Cumberland Gap, Tenn.
The band hails from Prestonsburg.
In 2012, music veteran Van Fletcher caught the buzz and began attending shows and watching the reactions of the fans and quickly became a fan of the sound.
CMT discovered them early in 2013 and began playing their video “Home” in late April. The video has been in the Top 5 at CMT Pure since the debut, enhancing their fan base across every platform there is to grow.
Entertainment One, the leading independent film, TV and music company quickly signed them to a multi album deal and re-released their self-produced album Door Without A Screen on Aug. 27, adding 6 songs including new ones as well as fan favorites from their shows.
The duo’s blend is their own mix: from country, bluegrass, rock, soul, and rhythm and blues, the duo produces music that, at times, is hard to classify. Their lyrics describe the lives of their families, friends, and fans, as well as themselves. Every song is a reminder that they have not forgotten where they came from, but also where they are heading.
They are storytellers, musicians, friends and the impetus of the ‘kin folk movement’ that is organically connecting a strong music-loving family that believes in solid, real and relatable songs.
Strong fan support put the duo on a southeast regional touring trek while the momentum has landed them on the eOne Records roster. With the strong sales of their independent release and social media numbers labels have been keen on the duo.
