Lincoln Memorial University’s Delta Theta Sigma sorority is all pink for national breast cancer awareness month in October. They will be holding a Pretty in Pink Pageant to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Knoxville.

The pageant will be held at LMU’s Duke Hall at noon on Oct. 26. If you are interested in entering the pageant the deadline for applications is Oct. 22. Categories range from newborn to 24 years old and registration is $40. Donations for Susan G. Komen of Knoxville will also be taken at the event.

In previous years their events including a pink walk-a-thon have raised over $200 to donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Knoxville. Any additional funds they raise will go toward a Thanksgiving basket donation for needy families in the area and Christmas gifts for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

DTS sorority sells pink cupcakes at LMU’s pink sports games throughout October which recognize the awareness month. DTS also donates these funds raised from their bake sale to support breast cancer research.
