Bell County Clerk arrested

Bell County Clerk Rebecca R. Blevins, 45, of Pineville, has been arrested by the Attorney General’s Office. She was charged with first-degree official misconduct, theft by failure to make required disposition of property and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.


Connie E. Watkins, 40, of Pineville, and Kayla D. Carnes, 23, of Arjay, who work in the county clerk’s office were also arrested. They were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft by failure to make required disposition of property.


Each individual was being held at the Bell County Detention Center on $100,000 cash bonds.
