A Middlesboro native appeared on NBC’s drama Revolution on Wednesday night. Jeff Hortilosa and his Austin, Texas based bluegrass band Whisky Shivers filmed the episode in October. They recorded three songs playing a roving acoustic band and are excited to see what all made it into the show.

Whiskey Shiver consists of Hortilosa on guitar, Joe Deuce on washboard, Bobby Fitzgerald on fiddle, Andrew VanVorhees on standup bass and banjo player James Bookert. The band’s music video “Gimmee All Your Lovin” is on Youtube.

In the past year they have been named 2013 Austin Music Award Best Bluegrass Band, and had a twenty show marathon during SXSW.

Their music video “Jealous Heart” can be viewed on CMT Edge at http://www.cmtedge.com.

They also appeared on Travel Channel’s “No Reservations” and played a string of sold out shows up and down the east and west coasts.

Whiskey Shivers are just returning from their latest east coast tour through Nashville, Tenn., Washington D.C. and New York and will be completing editing on their third album before heading out for another tour.
