BARBOURVILLE — A Cannon man was arrested for rape on Tuesday by the Kentucky State Police.
Bobby Hill, 33, was charged with first-degree rape, second-degree assault, theft by unlawful taking and unlawful imprisonment.
KSP Public Affairs Officer Shane Jacobs said on the state police received a call from the Knox County Hospital on Monday concerning a female being raped. Trooper Chad Gregory responded to the hospital and began an investigation.
Jacobs said the preliminary investigation indicates that Hill assaulted and forcibly raped a white female in a remote location of Knox County. Hill then drove the female to a location in Flat Lick, where he made her exit her own automobile. He then drove away in the victim’s vehicle.
According to the release, Hill was located on Tuesday and arrested. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
This case is still under investigation by Gregory. Gregory was assisted at the scene by Troopers Marcus Williams and Jason Partin and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
