Bobby Lowell Gambrel, 66, of Middlesboro, passed away Saturday, September 28, at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY. He was born February 27, 1947 in Fields, KY, the son of the late Dewey and Myrtle Marie Hodge Gambrel. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church. He was a coal miner and an avid fan of the University of Kentucky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Dorothy Irvin, Annie Shockley, Jacqueline Warren and Darlene Smith, a brother: James Gambrel and a step-son: Eddie England. He is survived by the following members of his family:

Step-daughter: Cathy and very special son-in-law: Joe Evans of Hazard, KY
1 Step-son: Darryl England of Middlesboro, KY
Grandchildren: Brad and Rachel Evans and Breann England
2 Brothers: Ben Gambrel of Lexington, KY and Glen Gambrel of New Tazewell, TN
3 Sisters: Faye Lawson of Cincinnati, OH; Edith Warren of Indianapolis, IN and Betty Baker of Pineville, KY
And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Phelps presiding. Music will be provided by the Northside Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
