Audrey Bruce Browning, age 86 of Pineville, formerly of Evarts, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Pineville Community Hospital.
She was born June 29, 1926, in Harlan County and had lived in Evarts for many years. Audrey was a beautician and believed in the Baptist faith.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Browning; her father, Harley Bruce; her mother, Lola Hatfield Bruce; one daughter, Lynn Browning; one son-in-law, Joseph Manwell; six brothers, Fred, Tug, Bill, Jim, Sam and David Bruce.
Survivors include four children, Danny Browning and wife Lisa, Bean Station, Tenn., Barbara Manwell, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Michael Browning, Pineville, and Karan Browning and husband Arnold Marsee, Pineville; one brother Floyd “Bob” Bruce, Verda; two sisters, Sue Robinson, South Dakota, and Doris Williams, Tazewell, Tenn. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Sherry Browning, Tim Browning, Shannon Whigham, Sumer Marsee and Kristopher Marsee; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Parker officiating.
Burial will follow in Harlan County Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
