PINEVILLE — The Bell Circuit Court recently handed down several sentencings. Individuals and their charges are compiled in the list below, as follows:
Travis Edward Monday, 33, of Middlesboro was found guilty of the charges of second degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, a Class D felony, and second degree persistent felony offender. Monday was sentenced to serve five years in a state penitentiary designated by the Kentucky Department of Corrections, and will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release. He will receive 15 days credit for time served in jail.
Stanley Ray Davis, 33, of Middlesboro was found guilty of second degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, a Class D felony. Davis was sentenced to serve five years in a state penitentiary designated by the Kentucky Department of Corrections, and will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release. He will receive six days credit for time served in jail.
Willie Smith, 62, of Pineville was found guilty of second degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, a Class D felony. Smith was sentenced to serve two years in a state penitentiary designated by the Kentucky Department of Corrections, and will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release. He will receive one day credit for time served in jail.
Linda Marie Brock, 28, of Pineville was found guilty of three counts of theft by deception over $300, each a Class D felony. Brock was sentenced to serve five years in a state penitentiary, which shall be probated, and she will be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years under specific terms and conditions. She will be required to pay restitution in the amount of $1,494.54 on behalf of the victim, Jim Brown Supply, and court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days.
Jerry D. Hampton, 43, of Pineville was found guilty of the charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, first offense, a Class B misdemeanor, possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor, and first degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, a Class D felony. Hampton was sentenced to serve five years in a state penitentiary designated by the Kentucky Department of Corrections, but will actually serve 90 days in the Bell County Jail. He will be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years under specific terms and conditions, and will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release. Hampton’s driving privilege, or operator’s license, will be suspended for a period of 120 days. He will receive eight days credit for time served in jail.
Ricky Gene Ray, 44, of Middlesboro was found guilty of the charges of second degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, a Class D felony, and second degree persistent felony offender, a Class C felony. Monday was sentenced to serve five years in a state penitentiary designated by the Kentucky Department of Corrections, and will be required to pay court costs in the amount of $151 within 180 days of release. He will receive one day credit for time served in jail.
