Discover Downtown Middlesboro Board of Directors has announced that they will be accepting applications for a new DDM director/main street director. Casey Thomas held the position previously before her resignation earlier this month.
DDM members stated in a press release that Thomas had done an outstanding job heading up many activities in the downtown area, including the Downtown Ducky Dash and block party. She also headed up holiday events such as the Nightmare on 20th Street, the Christmas parade and Christmas tree lighting.
During her tenure, Middlesboro also received its Main Street certification.
The press release also stated that DDM Board members wish Thomas all the best in her future endeavors and thanked her for her work for the organization.
The DDM Board will begin accepting applications next week. The job description will be posted on the Middlesboro-Bell County Chamber of Commerce website at www.bellcountychamber.com and DDM website www.discoverdowntownmiddlesboro.org.
