MIDDLESBORO — Isabell Money, age 88, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. She passed away at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn.
Born October 26, 1921, at Balkan, Ky., she was the daughter of the late W. H. and Micha Lowery. She was a 1941 graduate of Bell County High School, and a member of the East Pineville Baptist Church.
She and her husband, the the Rev. Shelby Money, had just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. They were married on August 8, 1941, at Balkan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Gerald, Ruby, Elizabeth, Cuba, Bess and Annabell; and brothers, John, Garrett, Clayton and Glendon Lowery.
She was known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. and friend to all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Shelby Money of Middlesboro; three sons, Glendon (Patty) Money of Waterford, Mich., Andy (Lourene) Money of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Shelby Wayne (Carol) Money of Mount Clemens, Mich.; grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Harris of California, Melissa and Aaron Money of California, Mary (James) Casazza of Michigan, William, Zackary, Emily, all of Michigan, and Molly Money of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Abraham and Samuel Harris of California; former daughters-in-law, Lora and Brenda; two special girls, Tracee Callihan of Middlesboro, and Tammy Cornelius of Pineville; a special person who has always been by their side, Terry Miracle of Middlesboro; special friend, Linda Dunn of Harrogate, Tenn.; and special caregivers, Steve (Connie) Edwards, H.D. (Ginny) Miracle, Dr. Martha Combs-Woolum and Dr. Jerry Woolum, and their staff of nurses.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at East Pineville Baptist Church with the Rev. Murphy Buell, the Rev. Mark Hunter, the Rev. Larry Head, the Rev. Johnny Ledger and the Rev. Terry Brock presiding. Music will be provided by the Church Choir and John Michael Sharp.
Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Earl Patterson, John “Chuck” Green, Toby Givens, Dennis Woods, Tim Cornelius, Robert Caldwell, George Clyde Robbins, Lester “Boomer’ Owens, Sam Miracle and Rick Miracle. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Willis, John Roberts, Chester Miracle, John Woods, J.C. Newport, Fred Woods, Mike Smith, Dickie Blanton, Rick Dorton, Milliard Blanton, Robert Saylor, and all the members East Pineville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. Saturday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel.
