HARROGATE, Tenn. — James L. Fletcher, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. He passed away at the Cumberland Village Care and Rehabilitation Center in Lafollette, Tenn.

Born December 15, 1922, in Pearl, Ky., he was the son of the late John L. Fletcher and Mary Fuson Fletcher.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Partin.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Martha Fletcher, Harrogate; children, Douglas (Barb) Fletcher, Speedwell, Tenn., and Connie Fletcher, Harrogate; grandson Anthony (Kelli) Browning; great-grandchildren, Kourtney and Garret Browning; brother L.B. (Mattie) Fletcher, Beloit, Ohio; sisters, Cassie Sams, Las Vegas, Nev., Anna Mae Turner, Louisville, Ky., and Clarice (Dick) Day, Louisville, Ky.; special friend, Reuben; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Creech Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Bean, the Rev. Shelby Money presiding, with special words by his grandson Anthony Fletcher.

Music will be provided by Donnie Massegill and Geneva Gales.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Creech Funeral Home.
