James Edward Williams, age 72, Middlesboro, KY, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born May 7, 1940 in Middlesboro, KY, the son of the late Charlie and Hazel Gent Williams. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Hollis Williams; and his sisters: Judy Finger and Kathleen Brown.

He is survived by his brother, Donnie (Rita) Williams; nephew, David (Sonja) Brown; nieces: Donna (Benny)Rowland and Tammy (Kenny) Sharp and a host of great nieces, great nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
