HARROGATE, Tenn. — After 110 minutes of stellar defensive play from each side, the Lady Railsplitters and Anderson University Trojans capped the match at a 0-0 stalemate on Saturday afternoon at the LMU Soccer Complex. The draw takes Lincoln Memorial University to 2-1-1 in the South Atlantic Conference and 5-2-1 overall, while Anderson University moves to 2-1-1 in league play and 4-3-2 on the season.

The play of Lincoln Memorial University keeper Kayla Hanson was a story of the match, as the senior completed the match with six total saves in a 110-minute shutout. Three of those six saves came in the two overtime periods with the biggest stop coming in the 108th minute as Hanson stoned an attempted blasted from the foot of Adrienne Lough to preserve the tie.

Hanson’s efforts were matched by Anderson University keeper Kaitlyn Neipp, who made one save in 110 minutes in goal for the Trojans.

Anderson won the battle offensively by a narrow margin, launching 12 shots in the contest to ten for the Lady Railsplitters. Nicole McKinney led LMU with three shots on the afternoon while Josefin Hedstrom and Olivia Thompson added two apiece. Maddy Nagy fired the lone shot on goal for the Lady Railsplitters.

The Trojans also notched eight corner kicks while the Lady Railsplitters were limited to four. Lincoln Memorial was whistled for 13 fouls and the Trojans were nabbed for 12 in the game.

Lincoln Memorial University will be back in action on today as they head to Trevecca Nazarene University for a nonconference matchup in Nashville, Tennesse. That match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
