Dear Editor:

In mid-October, I experienced a sudden case of pancreatitis and had to be hospitalized at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital (ARH) for one week. During that time, I received excellent medical and nursing care from the ARH staff. Special appreciation goes to second floor nursing team as well as the ER staff. Many thanks to professional care given by Dr. Robert Thomas and Dr. Nitin Patel.

My husband is an employee and I had already felt appreciation for this facility,, but when in a crisis, it was reassuring to experience firsthand the professional skills and caring attitude that was provided. The teamwork between all departments, such as radiology, nursing, laboratory, food services, and housekeeping, left a positive impression. I am grateful that our community has a valuable resource in Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Sincere thanks,

Michelle P. McGlone
