Staff Report

A Middlesboro man was arrested on possession charges on Thursday.

David Hall, 50, was arrested by Middlesboro Police Officer Justin Barton on two counts of a prescription controlled substance not in original container, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication.

According to the arrest citation, officers were dispatched to a residence in reference to an unwanted guest. Upon arrival, officers found Hall outside the residence in the roadway. A search of his person resulted in Barton finding a pill bottle in Hall’s front pocket containing 16 pills, none of which matched the prescription listed on the bottle.

Hall was released from the Bell County Detention Center Friday evening.
