Nida Sue Farrell, age 63, Middlesboro, KY, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 6, 2013. She was born April 13, 1949 to the late Ruth Carmack and the late Alonzo Rains of Middlesboro, KY. She was a member of Bennetts Fork Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Carmack; father, Alonzo Rains; Fred Farrell; one brother, James Rains; and nephew, Shannon Rains.

Survivors include her children: Alice (Larry) Stevens of Harrogate, Roger (Tammy) Branham of Middlesboro; one sister, Sarah Partin of Harrogate, TN; grandchildren: Matthew Branham, Roger Michael Branham, and James Allen Crigger, (his father James “Shorty” Crigger) all of Middlesboro and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service were held at 8 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Irving Gipson officiating. Music was provided by Steve Partin and Alva Cunningham. Pallbearers were Michael Branham, Roger Matthew Branham, Mark Minton, Jeremy Bortz, James Taylor, and Johnny Douglas. Honorary pallbearers were James Allen Crigger and Ronald Carmony. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Riverview Cemetery in Harrogate, TN. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
