Two-vehicle crash injures 2 on U.S. 25E

Middlesboro City Police Department Lt. Tom Busic said witnesses reported two cars collided at the traffic light in front of Hardees and sent both people to the hospital. The driver of a Ford truck attempted to turn onto 25th Street beside Walmart and collided with an oncoming car on U.S. 25E. The truck then flipped and left a man trapped inside. The Bell county Rescue Squad and Middlesboro City Police climbed inside the truck to rescue the man. The driver of the car was traveling south on U.S. 25E. She was sent to the hospital to get checked out along with the other driver. Busic said there were no life threatening injuries. The names of those involved were not released at press time.
