MIDDLESBORO — William Baylor Ball, age 39, passed away Monday, November 2, 2009, at his home.
Born August 27, 1970, in Middlesboro, he was the son of the late H. Randy Ball and Carole Buckner Ball who survives.
A believer in the Baptist Faith, he had attended Eastern Kentucky University, had worked as a meat cutter in this area for many years, and had been a color specialist at Sherwin-Williams in Middlesboro.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Elizabeth Buckner, and Harry and Gladys Ball.
Survivors include his mother, Carole Ball and Stan Jones, Frankfort, Ky.; brother, John R. “Randy” Ball, and special sister-in-law, Terry Marcum, of Middlesboro; sister, Carole Elizabeth “Carabeth” Ball of Nashville, Tenn.; nieces and nephews, Jessica Nicole Williamson, Jack Hunter Williamson, Ashley Elizabeth Ball, Brandyn Randolph Ball and John Van Thomas Ball; two uncles, Fred (Faye) Buckner, Randy (Robin) Buckner; very special cousin, Gary Wayne Smith; and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Purnell, the Rev. Matt Duvall and Dr. William Boyd Bingham presiding.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 5, at Middlesboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robbie Gordon, Gary Wayne Smith, Bill Simpson, Elvis Brooks and Jeff Francis.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Creech Funeral Home.
