William “Billy” Taylor, age 47, Speedwell, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Barbara Keith Taylor; brother, Richard Deboyd; grandparents, George and Mary Taylor, Buck Alvis and Lily Keith.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Polly Brewer Taylor of Speedwell; children: Jessica Perkey of Lebanon, Ohio, Patrick Taylor of Speedwell, Brandon Taylor of LaFollette, and Brittany Taylor of Speedwell; brothers: Tommy Taylor of Jacksboro and Jerry Taylor of LaFollete; sisters: Linda Comer of LaFollette, Nancy Harmon of Briceville and Barbara Taylor of Jacksboro; special great niece and nephew, Brandy Taylor and Dakota Brooks that he was helping raise; special nephews Daniel Huddleston and Jeremy Taylor and a special niece, Veronica Brooks and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be 8 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Shumate Funeral Home with Rev. Harry James and Bro. Jim Brewer officiating. Music will be provided by Charity Worship Center Choir. Pallbearers will be Patrick and Brandon Taylor, Daniel Huddleston, Jeremy Taylor, Tommy Taylor, Brandy Osborne, James Anderson, David Martin, and Hank Williams. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2012 at Marlow Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2012 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
