Staff Report
Middlesboro Police Department initiated a methamphetamine bust Tuesday in Hinks Heights.
Clifford C. Williams, 44, of Middlesboro, was arrested by Officer Jordan Hurd on the charge of manufacturing methamphetamine.
According to Hurd, he and MPD officers responded to a call in the area. Upon arrival at the house, he spoke with a female, whose name was not released at the time of the event, who was “talking out of her head.” The female was transported to the Middlesboro ARH by EMS.
Hurd also spoke with a male, later identified as Williams. According to Hurd, when he entered the house there was a strong chemical odor coming from upstairs. Hurd said he requested Lt. David Buis and Lt. Mike Hensley to come to the scene.
Officers found all the ingredients needed to make meth and a number of one-pot meth labs.
“They obviously hadn’t got rid of anything,” said Hurd. “It was all in the upstairs closet. We also found ingredients in the garbage in the back.”
Williams is currently being held at the Bell County Detention Center.
Sgt. Wade Barnett also assisted at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing by Hurd and the MPD.
