Three men were arrested by Middlesboro and Pineville police last week for burglary.
Tom Smith, Stuart Rutherford and Jerome Ferguson were each arrested and charged with second-degree burglary.
The burglaries do not appear to be connected.
According to the arrest warrant, Smith, 43, of Middlesboro, entered the dwelling of the alleged victim and took tools, scrap metal, wiring and other material from the home. The items were valued at approximately $1,800. He was arrested by Chuck Bruce of the Middlesboro Police Department.
Rutherford, 32, of Pineville, entered the home of his ex-girlfriend by pulling the air conditioner out of the living room window, according to the arrest warrant. The alleged victim said he jumped through the window and started assaulting her by grabbing her by the hair and throwing her to the ground.
According to the warrant, Rutherford sliced a sofa valued at $2,500. Rutherford was arrested by Jordon Hurd of the MPD.
According to the warrant, Ferguson, 36, of Pineville, entered the residence of his alleged victim and took a Brinks Safe containing $200, a piggy bank with approximately $90, a red Nintendo Game System with several games, Blue Game Boy Advance and a game, a Playstation 3 with approximately 10 games, and a 12-inch speaker.
Ferguson was arrested by Tony Francisco of the Pineville Police Department.
In other police news, a man was recently arrested for drug possession.
Mason Edward, 38, of Flat Lick, was arrested on the charge of first-degree drug possession.
According to the arrest citation, the Bell County Sheriff’s Department received a call about a man in Magnet Hollow allegedly passed out in his vehicle. The man could not remember his name or location.
According to the citation, as the result of a search, a substance believed to be meth was found. The man was identified later as Edward.
Edward was also charged with third-degree criminal trespassing, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and drug paraphernalia.
