Jason Crabb will be performing at the Central Auditorium in Middlesboro on Aug. 24 as part of his big summer tour. Tickets are currently on sale for $20. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 7 p.m. The promoter for the event is Pump Springs Baptist Church.
Crabb is one of the most celebrated vocalists in Christian music. He’s a Grammy Award winner, has won 20 Dove Awards Christian music awards) and has performed on some of the most prestigious stages across the world.
Crabb has performed at Carnegie Hall and has appeared regularly on the Gaither Homecoming Series videos.
Other high-profile appearances include regular appearances on the Grand Ole Opry, Brooklyn Tabernacle (Brooklyn, NY) where he is a featured guest soloist regularly and performed for the final Billy Graham Crusade in New York City.
In April, Crabb won the GMA Dove Award for Artist of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year.
Many know Jason for his signature hit “Through The Fire” a song recorded with his family, The Crabb Family who just released their first album in seven years together. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Christian Music Chart.
Crabb encourages every person to keep their dreams alive. “You don’t have dreams to just sit there and think about them. God gave you dreams for you to get up and go after,” said Crabb. “Go for your dreams.”
With songs like “Walk on Water” (written by Bobby O. Pinson, Trent Tomlinson, Vicky McGehee) and GMA Dove Award Song of the Year “Sometimes I Cry,” (written by Gerald Crabb), Jason both acknowledges and encourages hurting people, leaving something more substantive than just “feel good entertainment”.
Crabb currently resides outside Nashville, Tenn. with his wife Shellye and daughters Ashleigh and Emmaleigh.
