Replacement blood drive a success
Reina P. Cunningham|Daily News Middlesboro ARH Hospital hosted a Medic Replacement Blood Drive for Pastor Bill Poore on Monday. Hannah Bingham, of Middlesboro, had never donated blood but after hearing Poore’s story decided it was time. There will be a second Medic Replacement Blood Drive on April 16 in the parking lot of Big Lots in Middlesboro. The drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. All blood types can donate.

Staff Report A forest fire continued to burn on Fonde Mountain on Monday. The call for the fire came in to the Kentucky Division of Forestry at 5:57 p.m. on Sunday, according to Regional Ranger Jeffery Smith. The cause for the fire has yet to be determined. Jonathon Douglas Smith, 19, of Middlesboro, was arrested by Jordan Hurd of the Middlesboro Police Department and charged with first-degree robbery.
