Josh Allen Smith, 20, and Rachel Nichole Farr, 22, were arrested by Jordan Hurd of the Middlesboro Police Department and charged with first-degree robbery. Staff Report Multiple cows were shot last week, according to deputy Shane Stewart of the Bell County Sheriff’s Department. There were several cows shot between Wednesday and Thursday on farms near the Industrial Park . Six of those cows died and several others are missing. According to Director of Pupil Personnel and Transportation Waylon Allen, Middlesboro Independent Schools will be closed on Friday. The decision was made late this morning after reports confirmed continued low attendance numbers of both students and teachers. The low attendance numbers are believed to be a result of Flu B.
