HARROGATE, Tenn. — Middle and high school boys and girls are invited to attend the 2015 Josh Schertz High Intensity Skills Camp, which is being hosted by the Lincoln Memorial University men’s basketball program August 3-4.
Campers have the option of attending for one or two days of the High Intensity Skills Camp, which is being hosted in its entirety from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Tex Turner Arena, home of the Railsplitters and Lady Railsplitters. The camp costs $40 for one day or $70 for both days.
Open to players ranging from 5th through 12th grade, the High Intensity Skills Camp offers hands-on, individual instruction on the fundamentals of basketball from members of the LMU men’s basketball coaching staff.
Camp attendees will receive skill work aimed at improving ball handling, passing, offensive moves and shooting, participate in LMU practice drills and take part in 5-on-5 game play.
Parents and coaches are welcomed to attend the camp, as the itinerary for both days will be structured in a fashion resembling a standard LMU men’s basketball practice.
The camp registration form should be completed and returned to LMU men’s basketball assistant coach Cameron Whicker. Forms should be mailed to 6965 Cumberland Gap Parkway, Harrogate, TN, 37752. The LMU men’s basketball staff requests that checks be made payable to Josh Schertz Basketball Camps.
