HARROGATE, Tenn. — Lincoln Memorial University head women’s soccer coach Helio D’Anna has announced the final member of the Lady Railsplitters’ massive 16-player recruiting class, welcoming Maisie Kinkaid for the quickly approaching 2015 campaign.
A resident of Bristol, England and a Gordano School graduate, Kinkaid is a 5-4 midfielder that played club soccer for both SGS Academy and Bristol Academy. The daughter of Jeffrey and Elizabeth Kinkaid, she intends on pursuing a degree in Psychology.
Regarding Kinkaid, coach D’Anna commented, “Maisie is technical and has the usual toughness associated with players from the UK. She played at a good level in Europe and should do well in our program.”
Kinkaid will be one of 16 new players featured on the Lady Railsplitters’ 2015 roster, as that group aims to fill the void left by last year’s senior class, which included 2014 All-SAC first team selection Fernanda Miaci, 2013 All-SAC honorable mention pick Nicole McKinney and a pair of four-year starters in Brittany Jenkins and Rachael Vienneau.
The Lady Railsplitters begin the 2015 campaign on Sept. 4 with a nonconference tilt against West Alabama, set for a 6 p.m. kickoff in Montevallo, Ala. LMU opens the home slate on Sept. 19 when Queens invades the LMU Soccer Complex.
