TAZEWELL, Tenn. - A methamphetamine lab at an apartment in New Tazewell and a mobile meth lab were put out of commission by officers from the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department this weekend.

The investigation started after Officer Shawn Good made a traffic stop and received information that led deputies to New Tazewell.

With assistance of the New Tazewell Police Department, another another traffic stop was made. With permission officers then searched an apartment at Chadwell Heights. There they uncovered both a mobile meth lab and one inside the apartment.

Also two, possibly three children were living in the residence where the meth lab was found.

At this time the Sheriff's Department is not releasing names or further details about the condition of the children or if they were taken into state custody.
