Three injured in accident

The Bell County Sheriffs office is investigating a car wreck involving two vehicles that occurred around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers stated that Michael Jackson of Pineville was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of U.S. 25-E from Ealy Hollow road when his 1999 Ford Explorer was struck by a 2000 Pontiac Grand Dam that was being driven by Virginia Harrison of Ages, Ky.

According to Sheriff Bruce Bennett, both drivers and a passenger in the Harrision vehicle were taken to Pineville Community Hospital by the Bell County EMS. Jackson was later transferred to UK Medical Center.

Harrison was admitted to the PCH while her passenger, John Harrision, was treated and released.

Deputy Shane Steward is investigating the accident. Others on the scene of the accident were Deputies Bull Dunn and Carl Frith, Sheriff Bennett, Bell County EMS, Bell Fire Department, and the Bell County Rescue Squad.
