Ewing, Va. - Lehmon G. Roberts, 97, born Nov. 3, 1907, passed away

Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at the Claiborne County Hospital.

He was a very dedicated Christian and a faithful member and deacon at Walnut Hill Baptist Church. He retired from General Electric in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (Wheeler) Roberts; first wife, Hazel Roberts; daughter, Alene Robinson; grandson, Robert Robinson; brothers, Brent and Glen Roberts; sisters, Ola Roberts, Maude Roberts, Edith Leonard and Delia Roberts.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Eula Roberts of Ewing; grandsons, David Lynn Robinson of Grundy, Va., Gale Robinson of Bluefield, W.Va.; several great-grandchildren; sister, Dora B. McKeen of Ewing; and several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Walker officiating.

Burial in the Sawyer-McPhearson Cemetery (Old Gibson Cemetery). Pallbearers will be his nephews

The family will receive friends from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Claiborne Funeral Home, New Tazewell, Tenn., which is in charge of arrangements.
