She was born in Middlesboro on June 20, 1934, the daughter of the late John Harvey and Cleo Hubbs Hurst. She was a member of the New Vine Missionary Baptist Church, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a pastor's wife for over 40 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Hazel Nash and brothers, Jerry Hurst and Toy Hurst.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, the Rev. Truman Partin; sons, Terry Lee Partin and wife, Debra K., and David Allan Partin; grandchildren, Johnathon Colby Partin of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Julie Merideth Partin of Middlesboro; brothers and sisters, Onder (Helen) Hurst of Lima, Ohio, Dewey (Ruth) Hurst of Spencerville, Ohio, Wanda (Chalmer) Lake of Lima, and Charlette (Merle) Masters of Lima; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Vine Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ellis Hugh Hoskins, the Rev. George Peace and the Rev. Horace Partin presiding. Music will be by the New Vine Church Choir.
Burial will be in the Shelton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnathon Colby Partin, Curt Kloptenstein, Onder Woods, Tony Lake, Johnathon Mills, Scott Lake, Rob Sharp and Danny Miracle. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Rhonda Shivley, Dr. Lee and the Hospice Nurses.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.
