Pineville - James Alva Miracle, 80 passed away on Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.

He was born in Davisburg, on March 8, 1924, the son of the late Hillary Lloyd and Mollie Belle Lee Miracle. He served in the United States Army for eight years, and as a Bell County Magistrate for eight years. He worked for Adventure Coal for 14 years, and R.L. Miracle Chevron for 16 years. He was a member, deacon and choir leader for Calvary Baptist Church at Tinsley for over 40 years. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Miracle Good and a brother, Joe Miracle.

Survivors include his wife, Dollie Jackson Miracle; children, Frandlynn and James Wyrick and Michael S. and Pam Good; grandson, Joe William Daniels; granddaughter, Christen Michelle Good; great-granddaughter, Hannah Nicole Daniels; brothers and sister and their spouses, Loran Lee and Mary Lee Miracle of Lima, Ohio, Robert Leon and Janet Miracle of Pineville, and Letha and Cecil Gambrell of Pineville; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. Jacki Jaggers and the Rev. Loran Lee Miracle II presiding. Music will be by Fuson Chapel Choir.

Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Good, Larry Miracle, Richard Gambrell, Elijah Smith, Gary Gambrell, Max L. Money, Ancil Lee, Russell Mills and Rick Eldridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Parrott Webb, Colson Webb, Conrad Campbell, Claude Miracle, Darrell Miracle, Johnny Parrott, James H. Wyrick, Keith Lee, James Stewart Jr., Cecil Gambrell, James Boyd Lee, Kenneth Lee, Kelly J. Lee, Charles Hunter, Jimmy Hunter, Employees of R.L. Miracle Distributing Co., Inc, Nitin K. Patel, MD and Talmadge V. Hays, MD.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.
