He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church since a child. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Trent Manning; parents: G.C. and Vera Greene Manning; son: Larry Manning; grandson: Marty Manning; brothers: Bruce and Clifford Manning.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Kenneth and Kathy Manning; great granddaughter: Autumn Cheyenne Manning all of Tazewell; sisters: Dot Lewis, and Betty Stone both of New Tazewell; brothers: Woodrow Manning of Marion, In, Bailey Manning of Tazewell; nephews: James, Steven, Jeffrey and Gary Lewis, Scott Manning, Ricky and Rocky Manning, and Wesley Stone; nieces: Jan McLain, Leigh Anne McAfee, Rena Gilbert; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were Saturday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Glenn England and Steven Lewis. Songs by Fred Reed and Brenda Bolden. Burial in the Manning Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Waylon Meyers, Larry Hayes, Seth Seals, Sherman Seals, Jeff Harville, and Dennis Cook.
