Hazel Mae Munsey, was born June 17, 1920 and passed away June 10, 2005 at Claiborne County Hospital.

She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved nature and all God's creatures, especially her dog, Sandy. She was an avid Bible reader and a longtime member of the New Tazewell Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Munsey; son: Ronnie Munsey; infant son: Kenneth Munsey; parents, Jim and Tolva Harrison; sisters: Opal, Lyle, and Pauline Harrison.

She is survived by her son: Jackie Munsey and wife, Kay of New Tazewell; daughter-in-law: Neta Munsey of New Tazewell; granddaughter: Dana and Gerald Bradley of Seymour; grandsons: Andy and Christy Munsey of Knoxville, Tim and Amy Munsey of Knoxville, Russ and Ranee Munsey of New Tazewell; great grandson: D.J. Bradley; great granddaughters: Callie, Delaney, Lauren Munsey, and Samantha Haynes; sisters-in-law: Lourene Munsey of New Tazewell, Sallie Munsey of Tazewell, nieces: Rita Doss, Betty Davis, Marie Davis, and Shirley Carmack; nephew: Bill Munsey; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Monday, June 13, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Parker and Rev. Travis Pressnell officiating. Songs by Larry and Pam Pressnell. Burial in the Shoemaker Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Clarence Overton, Paul Venable, Billy R. Russell, Mack Poore, Larry Pressnell, Lawrence Pressnell, Bud Torbett, and Jackie Keck. Honorary pallbearers: Doyle Mountain, Dr. Christian Speil, Evelyn Rouse, Lena Fugate, Dorothy Snodgrass, Roberta Cloud, Becky and Leona Gregory, Brenda Newsome, and Barbara Cupp.
